I am a Machine Learning Specialist at ABN AMRO Clearing Bank, insvestigating and developing a product for unsupervised learning and anomaly detection. In 2018, I finished my PhD in Automatic Control, Robotics and Vision, obtaining Cum Laude for my work on bio-inspired artificial intelligence. I have worked as a researcher and lecturer at Ramon LLull University in Barcelona. My current interests are Machine Learning, Reinforcement Learning, exploring Deep Neural Networks and their application.
(March 2019-Present) ABN-AMRO Clearing Bank N.V. Building a production system end-to-end for anomaly detection in transaction data. I contribute in the architecture design, implementation and research for data pipelines, deep neural networks desing, and production deployment.
(February 2018-January 2019) Universitat La Salle-Ramon Llull. I was teaching Linear Algebra and Automatic Control System. By teaching I learned many things about myself. Worked on my presentation skills and orginizing knowledge in such a way it could be grasped by other minds. I will be always satisfied with the good reviews I got from my students.
(September 2018-January 2019) YASYT Robotics. As a collaboration with La Salle University, I was assigned to work with YASYT Robotics. In my days collaboring with YASYT, I was helping to deploy the software in the Pepper robots that we were using. Taking part of "La Marató de TV3" in 2018 using a robot was an amazing experience.
(2014-2018) I developed a research in the area of bioinspired artificial intelligence. I used intrinsically motivated exploration architectures to learn sensorimotor models. The main focus was to look for feasible explanations from some of the behaviors that are observed in children during early acquisition of speeh (babbling). I was granted the maximum grade and cum laude. [pdf]
(2012-2014) Barcelona Tech. The master's degree in Automatic Control and Robotics focuses on engineering in the fields of automatic control and robotics. It combines knowledge of industrial engineering, such as electrical and mechanical engineering, industrial electronics and some aspects of artificial intelligence. [register, pdf]
(2006-2012) National Autonomous University of Mexico. During the first 2 years of my bachelors I received a very stron education in basic exact sciences, related to algebra, math, arithmetics and mechanics. Later my bachelors had a focus on electronics, mechatronics, programming, automatic control and product design. My thesis was focused on learning non-lineaar models for wind generators inspired by friction phenomena and using machine learning. [pdf, Spanish]
